Job Summary
The Associate Manager, Accounting and Reporting supports financial recording and all aspects of the preparation and filing of the quarterly and annual financial statements. This role will also focus on the internal consolidation and financial reporting to management. In this role, the individual will need excellent communication skills as this role will require the individual to work cross functionally with members of the Finance and Accounting teams as well as other internal departments and outside service providers.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Support financial recording and analysis
- Support preparation of quarterly and annualfinancial statements and related filings, including
- Support preparation of monthly internal management financial statements, including global consolidation
- Prepare monthly statement of cash flows and related supporting documentation
- Prepare and submit taxation filings
- Handle banking transactions as initiator in online banking and keep track of bank reconciliations
- Prepare the calculations for Earnings Per Share and related supporting documentation
- Coordinate with HR in payroll disbursements and providing working for compensations and payroll
- SECP filing and coordination
- Support the annual statutory reporting process for various subsidiaries around the world
- Prepare accounting policies and technical accounting memos on an as needed basis
- Research new technical accounting issues and pronouncements and present results to senior management as needed
- Support the preparation of various financial presentations including Board Books, Earnings Books, and Investor Relations presentations
- Develop collaborative relationships with business leads and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with internal control / SOX policies and procedures
- Work directly with the external audit firm
- Lead special projects and process enhancements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- C.P.A. / ACCA / CA (Part qualified) preferred
- 3-5 years of accounting and audit experience, Big 4 preferred
- ERP system experience, SAP experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and US GAAP
- Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills a must
- Detail oriented and deadline driven with good analytical, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels of management and associates
- Able to present financial data in a concise, logical and useful manner
- Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and high paced environment
