Job Summary

The Housekeeping Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. This position requires strong leadership, hands-on support, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of room attendants and other housekeeping staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, guest-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service in line with the hotel’s brand standards. The Housekeeping Team Leader reports to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are met.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as required.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and professionally resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, staff attendance, and room status reports.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
