About the Role

The HR Business Partner is a key member of the People team, and acts as the primary HR contact in an assigned region. The HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting day-to-day people operations activities while ensuring alignment and collaboration with the Global People Team on HR programs and initiatives, systems, and processes.

The HRBP plays a key role in ensuring a strong employee and manager experience—providing practical, day-to-day support while also maintaining efficient, well-run people operations that align with global standards. This individual is approachable, trusted, and able to maintain strict confidentiality, while applying a strong understanding of local employment laws and compliance requirements in all aspects of the role. Success in this position requires independent execution, sound judgment, and close collaboration across a global HR model.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Managing Directors and Country GMs to stay aligned with business priorities, workforce needs, and regional strategy
  • Partner with managers to support team effectiveness and day-to-day people decisions; provide coaching on performance, feedback, and handling employee issues
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees; build relationships, address concerns, and support a positive employee experience across the region
  • Maintain a strong pulse on employee and manager sentiment through in office presence and engagement; identify trends, risks, and morale concerns; represent and advocate for regional needs and insights within the global HR team
  • Manager employee relations matters end to end, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance concerns, with a focus on maintaining a positive, productive work environment
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and external recruiting partners to support regional hiring, including resume review, coordinating in-country interviews, managing recruitment through offer stage, and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Execute core HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hiring, onboarding, promotions, transfers, exits) in partnership with the global HR team
  • Deliver global HR programs (performance reviews, compensation cycles, engagement, development) in-region, ensuring consistent execution and local relevance
  • Collaborate with global HR teams (COEs, HR Services, IT) to ensure smooth execution of programs and systems while contributing regional insights
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and company policies; maintain audit-ready processes and support audits (SOC, ISO)
  • Manage leaves of absence (medical, parental, statutory) and guide employees and managers through the process
  • Ensure data in Workday and payroll systems for the region are up to date; initiate, review, and approve employee lifecycle transactions and workflows for the UK and Netherlands; collaborate with IT, AMS Partner, and Global HR to resolve issues in a timely manner as required
  • Partner with Finance on headcount planning, budget tracking, approvals, and payroll coordination
  • Use employee data and insights to identify trends and inform decisions related to engagement, retention, and team effectiveness

Job Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of local employment laws and compliance requirements (United Kingdom, Netherlands), with experience applying GDPR and data privacy standards in day-to-day HR practices and systems
  • Strong knowledge of local benefits, leave of absences, and pension programs to support employees and managers on related questions and processes
  • Experience advising and influencing managers and leaders on people-related decisions, including performance, team effectiveness, and organizational needs
  • Strong HR generalist or HRBP background with a hands-on, execution-focused approach
  • Ability to operate independently while staying connected to a global HR team
  • Experience supporting both employees and managers, including employee relations and coaching
  • Comfortable working in a global or matrixed environment with shared reporting into a global HR team and regional leadership
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel within the region for regular visits, meetings, and events (~10%)

Indication of Salary

  • GBP Range: £40,000–£45,000/annually
  • EUR Range: €47,000–€53,000/annually
