Job Description

Seeking a Hyperion EPM Consultant with at least 9 years of experience in Oracle EPM (Cloud and On-Premises). Must have strong technical and functional skills for managing, implementing, and optimizing Hyperion solutions in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and consolidation. This role requires collaboration with finance and IT, ensuring system stability and process improvement. Solid understanding of finance processes, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications
  • Support Quarterly planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure smooth and timely execution
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Hyperion business rules, calculation scripts, and automation routines
  • Build, maintain, and tune Essbase cubes to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Manage metadata including extraction, loading, validation, and structural updates
  • Prepare test plans and execute, conduct and support user testing
  • Build, maintain, and support Smart View ad-hoc reports, templates, and Financial Reporting for end users
  • Develop and support data load, copy, and integration processes using ODI and custom scripts
  • Build and maintain integrations between Hyperion applications and ERP systems
  • Monitor application performance, batch jobs, and automation processes; identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Analyze and resolve user-reported issues, coordinate with internal and external support teams
  • Partner with business users to identify performance bottlenecks and deliver effective technical solutions
  • Maintain documentation for applications, processes, and enhancements
  • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve application processes while maintaining a stable production environment
  • Actively contribute to the organization's AI strategy by exploring emerging AI technologies, proposing innovative use cases, and delivering automation and AI-driven solutions that enhance EPM processes, support operations, and end-user experience.

Required Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Planning, Financial Reporting (HFR), and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
  • Experience with both Oracle EPM on-prem (11.2.21+), Essbase 21c, and EPM Cloud (EPBCS)
  • Strong expertise in Oracle EPM on-prem (11.2.21+) & EPBCS, including Smart View, Financial Reporting, and data load processes
  • Experience working with ASO and BSO cubes, MDX formulas, business rules, web forms, and MaxL scripts
  • Ability to convert ASO formulas to BSO and vice versa
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud migrations to PBCS, EPBCS, and PCMCS
  • Knowledge of EPM integrations and data management using ODI, FDMEE, and related frameworks
  • Working knowledge of scripting and automation tools including VBScript, batch scripting, and PowerShell
  • Awareness of AI-driven features in Oracle EPM, such as Predictive Planning
  • Experience supporting financial applications, including direct user interaction and issue resolution
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve issues with Oracle Support
  • Participation in at least two Hyperion implementations and/or major upgrades
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of finance processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Oracle EPM version 11.2.21 and above, Essbase 21c, and EPM Saas EPBCS
  • Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Applications like Hyperion EPM Data management (FDMEE) , Data Relationship Management (DRM)
