Granite & Marble Countertop Service Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Granite & Marble Countertop Service Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, repair, maintenance, and finishing of natural and engineered stone surfaces in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with stone fabrication or installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install granite, marble, quartz, and other stone countertops according to project specifications
- Perform on-site repairs, including chip repair, crack repair, seam correction, and surface refinishing
- Polish, seal, and restore stone surfaces to maintain appearance and durability
- Measure, cut, and shape stone materials using specialized tools and equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction
- Safely transport materials and handle heavy stone slabs
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members on job progress and expectations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in stone countertop installation, fabrication, or repair preferred
- Familiarity with granite, marble, quartz, and other natural/engineered stone materials
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and polishing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with seam setting, edge profiling, and color matching
- Knowledge of adhesives, sealants, and polishing compounds
- Basic understanding of construction or cabinetry installation
Work Environment
- On-site at residential and commercial properties
- Indoor and outdoor work conditions
- May require travel to job sites and occasional overtime
