Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s procurement and sourcing activities. This role will focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating with suppliers, managing budgets, and ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services critical to our distribution operations.

Major Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that deliver cost-effective, high-quality sourcing of goods and services while supporting business objectives, budgets, and profitability.
• Lead the end-to-end procurement function , including strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and management, purchase order administration, vendor onboarding, and procurement compliance.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships by negotiating favorable commercial terms, monitoring supplier performance, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives through value engineering, market analysis, process enhancements, and sourcing strategies that improve operational efficiency without compromising quality or service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement activities with demand planning, inventory management, logistics, finance, and overall business priorities while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop the procurement team by establishing KPIs, managing budgets and performance reporting, coaching team members, and implementing best practices that strengthen procurement operations and support long-term business growth.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in sales and distribution or FMCG sectors.
• Proven strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts and relationships.
• Strong knowledge of competitive sourcing, procurement regulations, and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume distribution environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional procurement projects.
