Material Handler

What your responsibilities will include

• Operate a forklift safely throughout the shift
• Ability to move and manage freight efficiently and effectively, avoiding damages
• Load and unload freight onto and off of trailers
• Ability to load trailers in a manner to maximize space
• Possess basic knowledge of trailer weight capacities
• Conduct forklift safety checks daily
• Operate forklift in a shared space with other Dockworkers and warehouse staff
• Using basic Microsoft Office and other programs for various tasks

What we require from you

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years Operating Forklift (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of Warehouse Experience
• Intermediate Computer Skills
• Cross Dock experience is an asset
• Truck Mate experience is an asset
• Forklift License/certificate required
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
