Are you ready to take on new technical challenges within a passionate and collaborative team? Behaviour Interactive is looking for an experienced backend programmer to join the team and contribute to the development of a live online game, co-developed with an external partner and released on PC and consoles.

In this senior role, you’ll bring your expertise and rigor to the programming team. You’ll be responsible for implementing backend services and building the game-side APIs that communicate with those services. This position requires solid experience with cloud technologies and DevOps principles.

In this role you will

  • Architect and code cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend systems in Golang, ensuring they are fast, reliable, and can scale globally.
  • Build & maintain APIs Develop, document, and optimize efficient APIs that connect backend services to client-side game features.
  • Fix bugs and improve quality. Investigate and resolve bugs, from simple fixes to complex and hard-to-reproduce issues, including on-call support when needed.
  • Mentor and collaborate. Conduct code reviews, guide junior developers, and work closely with game teams, tech leads, and stakeholders across disciplines to deliver features and improvements.

What we're looking for

  • 9+ years of experience in object-oriented and asynchronous programming in multiple languages with a focus on Golang for a mininum of 5 years.
  • Proven track record building and architecting distributed, cloud-based microservices using and RabbitMQ.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, with hands-on experience in AWS, as well as associated DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, branch management).
  • Solid experience designing and optimizing scalable database solutions, with MongoDB.
  • Experience with containerization and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and AKS.

A plus

  • Experience with C++ and SDK integration.
  • Experience building backend systems for AAA game services or doing engine/system programming for games.
  • Experience with Splunk, Telegraph, Influx DB and Graphana.

Dans ce rôle tu devras

  • Concevoir l’architecture et coder des systèmes backend cloud, orientés microservices en Golang, en veillant à ce qu’ils soient rapides, fiables et capables de s’adapter à l’échelle mondiale;
  • Développer, documenter et optimiser des API efficaces qui connectent les services backend aux fonctionnalités côté client du jeu;
  • Enquêter et résoudre les bogues, qu’il s’agisse de correctifs simples ou de problèmes complexes et difficiles à reproduire, y compris le support en astreinte si nécessaire;
  • Effectuer des revues de code, encadrer les développeurs juniors et collaborer étroitement avec les équipes de jeu, les responsables techniques et les parties prenantes de différentes disciplines pour livrer des fonctionnalités et des améliorations.

Ce que nous recherchons

  • Minimum de 9 ans d’expérience en programmation orientée objet et asynchrone dans plusieurs langages, avec une expertise particulière en Golang pour un minimum de 5 ans;
  • Avoir fait vos preuves dans la conception et l’architecture de microservices distribués et basés sur le cloud, utilisant RabbitMQ;
  • Compréhension approfondie des principes de l’informatique en nuage, avec une expérience pratique sur AWS, ainsi qu’une maîtrise des pratiques DevOps associées (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, gestion des branches);
  • Solide expérience dans la conception et l’optimisation de solutions de bases de données évolutives, avec MongoDB;
  • Confortable avec la conteneurisation et les outils tels que Docker, Kubernetes, ECS et AKS.
