About the role

We are seeking an IST Support Analyst to join our Christchurch-based IT team. This role provides high-quality first and second level IT support, ensuring day-to-day technology issues are resolved efficiently and business disruption is minimised. You will support the effective operation of Craigmore’s end-user technology environment through user support, device and licence administration, identity and access management, and coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.

About you

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience), along with 2-3 years' experience in a first and second level IT support role.

You will have

  • Experience with IT service management practices (incident, request, change, and asset management)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Entra ID, Intune, Teams, Defender, and the M365 admin centre
  • Experience managing devices, software, and licences
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service focus
  • Experience supporting users across multiple sites, with willingness to travel as required
  • Great communicator & team player

Desirable

  • ITIL Foundation certification or knowledge of IT service management best practice
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. Microsoft 365 Fundamentals)
  • Experience delivering end-user training and supporting onboarding/offboarding
  • Exposure to security monitoring, alert triage, and escalation

What you'll do

  • Provide responsive, high-quality support by triaging, resolving, and escalating user issues
  • Monitor and respond to system and security alerts across key platforms
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, devices, and licences, including procurement, allocation, maintenance, and disposal
  • Administer user identities and system access in line with approved processes
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning access, devices, and user induction support
  • Maintain accurate ticketing and documentation, and contribute to knowledge articles to support users and the wider team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, reporting, and effective teamwork across the IST function
