Inventory Control Lead

Impala Terminals Group (“ITG”) facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of 30 strategically located assets and operations in 20 countries, Impala provides critical storage infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Liquid and Dry Bulk storage - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors.

ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos.

Main Purpose

Responsible for stock control at Impala Terminals Rotterdam.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring on differences in actual and book stock
• Work with operations team to investigate and report on stock differences
• Responsible for monthly stock reconciliation process and reporting to customers and senior management
• Liaise with surveyors and other third parties
• Education and daily guidance of operational staff on stock management process.
• Control operational loss/gain targets by product within approved limits.
• Involved in business review meetings and stock control discussions with customers
• Initiate continuous improvement program for stock management in the terminal
• Contribute to further development of ERP system to enhance stock control and reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 5+ years experience in liquid bulk supply chain and stock control
• 10+ years experience in Oil Terminal Operations, strongly versed in product movements and inventory management
• Operational leadership experience is a strong bonus
• Senior personality, strong educator, able to lead colleagues on stock management matters
• Experience with (developing) ERP systems and IT tooling for stock control and reporting
