Supports new project deployments, as well as the operations and life-cycling of existing systems, with a primary focus on providing comprehensive tier-3 support for the facility operational teams, including working with and coordinating vendors and service providers as needed. Has basic working knowledge of PCN/OT engineering principles.

• Participates in designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure solutions that support PCN and OT operations, and contributing to IT Function-wide projects and initiatives as they are deployed at the facility.
• Demonstrate the ability to managing and troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and software for PNC and OT/Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) Servers and Workstations. This includes working on domain controllers, Human Machine Interface (HMI) workstations, Input/output (IO) Servers, Engineering Stations, Historian and PI Servers, Data Storage servers, dedicated backup utility servers and any other third-party machines Working on system builds as per company’s standards, patch management, virus protection, and backup and recovery management.
• Participates in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows 2016 / 2019 / 2022 servers (IaaS) in single-server virtual and physical configurations.
• Performing operations in a virtualization environment consisting of VMware ESX Server and Virtual Center running on hyperconverged platforms.
• Understanding Active Directory, Network Services (IP, DHCP, DNS and WINS), group policy object (GPO) management, and similar directory and authentication technologies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current infrastructure technologies and configurations.
• Experience providing design, testing and implementation support for and participation in internally-driven platform deployment or lifecycle projects, and/or customer-facing projects.
• With minimal assistance, determines installation steps, installs, and maintains general purpose vendor-supplied packages.
• Understands and can explain the consulting process and relationship. Displays growth mindset to learn and adjust in response to business changes.
• Participates in designing, configuring, deployment and operational maintenance of network and workstation/server/storage technologies to ensure continuous availability of secured and reliable network services to the facility.
• Provides comprehensive tier-3 support for the facility operational teams, including working with and coordinating vendors and service providers as needed.
• Collaborate with site PCN Administrators, Process Control and I&E teams and vendors to implement changes to systems in PCN, OT and SCADA environments.
• Participates in supporting new project deployments, as well as the operations and life-cycling of existing systems.
• Participates in supporting and integrating Chevron IT and OT standards into the infrastructure environment.
• Participates in assisting with monthly server patches and other information and risk compliance related tasks.
• Asist with root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques as required.
• Work directly with vendor, IT platform and IT entities to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Analyzes, identifies, and resolves or mitigates technical problems in conjunction with other team members.
• Participate on project teams to deliver new functionality and to support corporate initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to change management processes.
• Describes common types of server technologies and devices
