Network & Systems Security Analyst Sr

Client: Utilities Company

• Position: Network & Systems Security Analyst
• Term: 6-month contract with renewal opportunity
• Pay: $60/Hr
• On Site, except for Fridays

Work Authorization: USC and GC ONLY

Required Certification: Has obtained at least one associate and one senior level certification: (i.e. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certifications, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline (MIS).

Certifications Preferred: CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA

Experience

• 3-6 years of related hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, firewall support, Storage Area Networks, Cisco Networking
• SolarWinds ITSM administration experience including configuration and support

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity plans, and system support.
• Problem solving involves basic troubleshooting following the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, making or calling for equipment repairs, and problem escalation.
• Consulting on small project design and plans. May serve as a project lead and mentor Level 1 Network & Systems Security Analyst. Works under general supervision.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and remedies server and network related problems and failures.
• Installs and configures server and network related hardware/software which meet the company’s security standards.
