Head of Law - APAC

• We are seeking an experienced legal leader to head the legal function across the APAC region (excluding China) for a global automotive supplier, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with global legal standards. Your tasks include: 
• Lead the Legal function across multiple APAC (excl. China) jurisdictions
• Manage and develop a geographically dispersed, multicultural legal team
• Act as primary legal advisor to regional leadership on complex cross-border matters  
• Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance in line with global strategy
• Oversee all regional legal activities (commercial, corporate, regulatory, governance)
• Identify and mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies
• Support key business initiatives such as market expansion, partnerships, and restructuring
• Manage significant disputes and external counsel across the region and report legal risks
• Serve as the key interface between APAC leadership and global Legal & Compliance
• Fully qualified lawyer with a law degree from a reputable university and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction
• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international law firm and/or in-house within a multinational company
• Significant experience in the automotive, industrial, or manufacturing sector is highly desirable
• Proven track record in managing legal teams across multiple countries and cultures
• Deep expertise in commercial law, contract law, and cross-border transactions
• Experience in emerging markets and APAC legal frameworks is essential
• Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory, and corporate governance matters
• Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic level and influence senior stakeholders
• Very good English skills
