About The Role

The impact you’ll make

As a Business Unit Administrator, you will play a key role in enabling our Tauranga and Hamilton teams to operate effectively while delivering a seamless and professional client experience. Your typical day will include:

  • Provide high-quality administrative support including diary and travel management, meeting coordination, document preparation, and inbox support to enable teams to focus on client work.
  • Support the Hamilton office with overflow administrative work during peak periods, contributing to a connected, “one team” approach across both locations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and visitors in the Tauranga office, delivering a welcoming, professional, and seamless front-of-house experience.
  • Manage meeting rooms and client-facing spaces, ensuring they are well-presented, organised, and aligned to Deloitte’s professional standards.
  • Coordinate and deliver client hosting, including arranging refreshments, morning teas, and supporting meeting requirements to create a high-quality client experience.
  • Assist in planning and delivering client events, workshops, and internal functions, managing logistics such as catering, room setup, scheduling, and on-the-day coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and support more efficient ways of working across teams.
  • Support client onboarding and general operational activities, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for clients and internal stakeholders.

Work collaboratively with the wider administrative team to balance workloads, respond to changing priorities, and provide flexible support where needed.

Your expertise

You’ll also have

  • Experience in an administrative, front-of-house, hospitality, or event coordination role, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different teams and locations.
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including delivering a professional and polished client experience.
  • Experience supporting meetings, events, or client hosting, with an eye for detail and service excellence.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs, identify improvements, and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • A high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to quality in everything you deliver.
