About The Role

Summary

  • Responsible for providing support for benefit programs and services, wellness resources, and retirement-related support to employees, retirees, and their dependents.
  • Pay Range: $23.75 - $26.78/hr
  • Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned .
  • Provides front desk HR support as the daily initial point of contact for walk-ins and phone calls.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefit services, payroll deduction, and retirement information.
  • Initiates new hire outreach and follows up on any outstanding deliverables
  • Provide HR ticketing system support by taking on duties of air traffic control (ATC) to include, but are not limited to, directing tickets and phone calls to appropriate HR teams.
  • Provides support for cyclical eligibility audit processes
  • Assists with and provide backup support for the bill payment process.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a customer service capacity
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office
  • Ability to comfortably lead employee presentations and meetings

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • 2+ years of direct experience in benefits administration, human resources, or customer support preferred
  • Advanced-level experience in MS Office
  • Direct experience developing and/or leading group presentations, meetings, or events- both instructor-led and virtual

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of business practices and procedures
  • Attention to detail and ability to proactively seek opportunities for process improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to present information in an organized, logical manner and ensure execution as expected for all core functions
  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in regard to employees’ personal health information

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

The incumbent works in a typical office environment, relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
