Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Illinois Electric Works (IEW) is seeking experienced Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Specialist to manage the flow of all warehouse operations at our Granite City facility. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving activities, logistics coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting our motor repair, distribution, pump, gearbox, crane, and field service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory activities.
• Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of motors, pumps, gearboxes, controls, parts, and customer-owned equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers.
• Promote safety, organization, and operational excellence.
• Track KPIs including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, freight costs, and safety performance.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience.
• Forklift and material handling experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office and ERP system skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Industrial or electrical equipment experience preferred.
