About The Role
Role: Financial Reporting Manager
- Job Location: Full remote
- Timing: Evening shift which starts 6/7 pm IST to 2/3 am
- Role type: Independent Contract with no end date (perpetual until either party gives notice to end the contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- o Manage the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- o Provide in-depth analysis and insights into financial results, including variance analysis and key performance metrics. Key Performance Info (KPIs).
- Data Integrity, Management and SQL Analysis (Financial, Operational)
o Use SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret financial data
o Develop and maintain SQL queries to streamline reporting processes and enhance data accuracy.
o Work with IT and other departments to improve data accessibility and support data integrity.
o Projects including license management, feature pricing matrix, cost accounting mapping. e continue flow of revenue and cost matching.
o This includes understanding of billing and collection system (SQL, Riverrock), taxation (Vertex, Suretax, TaxJar), vendor data extraction and analysis (converting data into SQL, Pivot).
- Advanced Excel Analytics
- o Leverage advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, to perform detailed financial analysis.
- o Build, maintain, and optimize financial models to support forecasting and budgeting.
- o Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Excel Power Query, and other tools.
- Business Partnering and Cross-functional Collaboration
- o Provide support/work parallel with revenue assurance function to support data validations of billing close / review credits to customers.
- o Serve as a liaison between finance and other departments to support strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement and Controls
- o Continuously improve financial reporting processes by implementing best practices and identifying automation opportunities.
- o Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- o Lead or assist in special projects as needed to support the finance department and business objectives.
- Special Projects from management
- o Review, audit or provide solutions on task assigned related to any issue or reporting
- o Be creative enough to produce original reports and have the ability to develop reports / analysis from scratch.

Qualification/Skills requirement
o Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)
o 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or similar roles (preferred industry: (Telecom, TechSecurity), others may apply if they fulfill other criteria.
o Advanced proficiency in SQL (Mandatory) and data management, with experience in data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
o Expert-level Excel skills, including experience with complex functions, pivot tables etc.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
o Knowledge of both USA, Canada and other G-7 taxation. Must learn telecommunication, tech-security regulatory requirements.
o Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
o Strong communication skills.
