Position: Territory Manager (Contractor)

Department: Sales

Category: Field Sales / Territory Management

Location: Slovenia or Croatia

Reports to: Business Development Manager Central & Easte r n Europe

About the R ole

The primary responsibility of the Territory Manager is to develop , strengthen and maintain successful partnerships with Trek retailers across the assigned territory . The role is responsible for driving sales growth and maximis ing Trek ’s marke t share.

The Territory Manager will build strong, long-ter m relationships with retailers and ensure that Trek products and brand standards are represented consistently and to the highest standard throughout the territory.

The idea l candidate will be based with in the territory and will possess proven sales and business development experi ence , excellent communication and relationship-buildin g skills and strong IT proficiency . The t erritory covers Slovenia and Croatia .

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales of Trek family bicycles, parts and accessories within the assigned territory .
  • E stablish clear objectives and monitor the performance of Trek r etailers .
  • Act as a trusted b usiness c onsultant to Trek r etailers , identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and providing recommendations.
  • Support Trek r etailers with fo recasting, ordering, logistics and all aspects of the sales process.
  • Conduct market research to unde rstand the competitive environment and identify underperforming markets.
  • Appoint, develop and consult with cycle retailers to maximize Trek’s position in the market.
  • Provide product and sales training to Trek retailers in the territory.
  • Provide excellent customer s ervice and b uild strong long-term relationships with Trek retailers .
  • Ensure Trek is aware of local market dynamics and legislation to capitalise on opportunities and ensure local regulatory compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with Trek colleagues , sharing insights and best practices to drive collective success.
  • Be an ambassador for the Trek brand.

About Y ou

Essential

  • Proven sales experience (3+ years) within retail or wholesale environments; cycling industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly across the assigned territory ; full c lean driving licence required .
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Excellent o rganisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel , PowerPoint & C o pil ot.
  • Confident presentation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging and informative sessions to small groups.

Desirable

  • A working knowledge of EPOS systems used in retail environments .
  • An understanding of statutory accounting processes , inclu ding profit and loss and balance sheets .
  • An understanding of retail business metrics including , retail tur nover, profit margins and expense ratios.
  • An understanding of business leadership, operational and marketing best practices and ability to coach retailers in these areas .
  • An in-depth knowledge of the bicycle retailers within the territory .
