Datacenter & Telecommunications Technician

Support the operation and maintenance of datacenter and telecommunications infrastructure across multiple sites within an Inetum project in the telecom/energy sector.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform operational and technical support activities in datacenter environments
• Execute fibre optic installation, testing and certification (OTDR)
• Manage incidents and service requests
• Conduct technical site surveys and validate infrastructure
• Maintain and update technical documentation and reports
• Support structured cabling installations (fibre and copper)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in datacenter, telecom or infrastructure environments
• Experience in datacenter operations and support
• Hands-on experience with fibre optics and OTDR testing
• Knowledge of structured cabling and connectivity
• Experience in incident and request management
• Ability to produce technical documentation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio or similar tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Availability to travel between sites
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese

Additional Valued Experience

• Experience in housing or colocation environments
• Knowledge of IP networking
• Experience coordinating suppliers or subcontractors
• Understanding of datacenter layouts and infrastructure
• Knowledge of telecom-related power systems
• Ermesinde – on-site presence required
