Science Lab Technician - Immediate Start

Egypt Education Platform is urgently seeking a skilled Science Lab Technician at one of our Prime National Schools - Westview International Language School . The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, preparing materials for experiments, and ensuring the lab environment is safe and organized for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and setup laboratory equipment and materials for experiments and practical sessions across various subjects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Assist teachers in conducting experiments and demonstrations, providing support to students as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lab protocols, maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
• Manage inventory of lab supplies, ensuring that materials are stocked and equipment is properly stored and accessible.
• Document and report any issues with lab equipment or supplies to the relevant staff.
• Participate in routine maintenance and cleaning of the laboratory, including disposing of hazardous materials according to safety guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in science, pharmacy or chemical engineering.
• Experience in a laboratory setting in an educational environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to support teachers and students.
• Proficient in using laboratory instruments and general computer applications.
