About The Role

What you will do

  • Understand each client’s business, priorities, challenges, and opportunities to identify where our products and solutions can create the greatest value.
  • Develop tailored proposals and deliver persuasive sales presentations that clearly communicate our value proposition to operational and executive audiences.
  • Manage large accounts, build long-term business relationships, and engage with key decision-makers throughout the sales process.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and close commercial opportunities by creating solutions that respond to client needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to successfully implement campaigns and client solutions.
  • Bring the voice of our partners and clients into the organization, using real market insights to identify needs, anticipate challenges, and improve the customer experience.
  • Monitor regional trends, competitors, and new business opportunities across the US market, turning insights into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Track results, measure performance, and independently prepare reports highlighting progress, risks, opportunities, and next steps.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events, representing Despegar and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Work with autonomy while keeping internal stakeholders aligned around priorities, decisions, and expected outcomes.
  • Experiment, learn from results, and scale the approaches that generate the greatest impact.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in commercial roles, preferably in B2B sales or travel wholesale.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in strategic and executive-level conversations.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative sales and in building long-term business relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present insights, reports, and strategic recommendations clearly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and the travel industry.
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy while remaining aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Based in the United States, preferably within the Eastern or Central Time zones.

It would be a plus if you have

  • Spanish language skills.
  • Experience managing large accounts or working with global chains.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Finance, Marketing, or other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience attending trade shows, conferences, or industry events.
