Position Summary

Aviation Service Partners (ASP) is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Heavy Maintenance Visit (HMV) Representative to serve as the primary liaison between ASP, our customers, and maintenance teams during scheduled heavy maintenance events. This position requires frequent travel to customer maintenance facilities throughout the United States to oversee maintenance projects, facilitate communication, and ensure aircraft are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements.

The HMV Representative works closely with maintenance operations, quality assurance, engineering, planning, materials, and customer personnel to manage maintenance events from aircraft induction through return-to-service. This role requires strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while supporting ASP's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during Heavy Maintenance Visits (HMVs).
  • Coordinate daily with maintenance, quality assurance, engineering, planning, materials, and production teams to monitor aircraft progress.
  • Provide customers with routine project updates, maintenance status reports, schedule changes, and projected completion timelines.
  • Attend daily production meetings and communicate priorities between customers and maintenance leadership.
  • Review work scope changes, non-routine findings, engineering requirements, and customer requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate customer approvals for additional work, repairs, schedule changes, and engineering dispositions.
  • Monitor project milestones, aircraft downtime, and critical path items to support on-time aircraft delivery.
  • Assist with estimating labor hours, material requirements, and project impacts resulting from additional maintenance findings.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and comply with FAA regulations, customer specifications, and company procedures.
  • Support aircraft delivery activities, customer inspections, acceptance walks, and final documentation reviews.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and responsive service.
  • Identify and communicate risks that could impact schedule, quality, or budget while helping develop effective solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to customer maintenance facilities and project locations throughout the United States as required to support Heavy Maintenance Visits, aircraft deliveries, audits, and customer meetings.
  • Represent Aviation Service Partners professionally while working onsite with airline customers, OEM representatives, and maintenance organizations.
  • Support multiple customer locations and maintenance events as business needs dictate.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial aircraft maintenance, aviation operations, MRO, production control, maintenance planning, quality assurance, or customer support.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft heavy maintenance operations and FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% (or as business needs require) to customer locations throughout the United States.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain airport security badges and customer-required access credentials.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting heavy maintenance visits on Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, or regional aircraft.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems such as TRAX, AMOS, Corridor, or similar MRO software.
  • Previous experience in production control, maintenance planning, project management, customer representation, or technical operations.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of engineering change processes, non-routine work packages, maintenance planning, and return-to-service documentation.
  • Experience working directly with commercial airline customers in an MRO environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and aircraft hangar environments.
  • Ability to walk extended distances throughout maintenance facilities.
  • Ability to climb aircraft access stands, ladders, and maintenance platforms.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work around aircraft, machinery, noise, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to travel by commercial airline for extended periods, including overnight and multi-week assignments.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to support customer maintenance events.
