Job Summary

Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with delivering patient care with focus on excellent customer service.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Manage patient scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs.
  • Accurately verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and billing information.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct messages appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and MaineGeneral policies.

Qualifications

  • Customer service or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
