About Puck

Puck started with a family, a few acres in Manning, Iowa, and a habit of building better tools than the ones on the market. Since then we've grown into a family of manufacturing brands serving agriculture, oil and gas, fire, and industrial markets - engineering equipment that's used hard, in the field, everyday. We're Build to Lead, and that shows up in how we build products and how we build careers: we invest in people, push for continuous improvement, and don't cut corners.

About the Role

This role owns the day-to-day mechanics of recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement while supporting the broader HR function with administrative work. • Coordinate candidate communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings.
  • Extend offer letters and track candidate status through applicant tracking system.

Onbaording

  • Prepare new hire paperwork, badges, workstations, and first-day logistics
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Set up new employees in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Check in with new hires during their first 60-90 days to support a smooth transition.

Employee Engagement

  • Help plan and execute employee events, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
  • Support internal communications related to HR programs and company updates.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing employee feedback (surveys, exit interviews, etc.)

Administrative Support

  • Process HR-related paperwork such as status changes, leave requests, and verifications of employment.
  • Support benefits enrollment administration and respond to routine employee questions.
  • Assist with compliance tracking (training completions, certifications, required postings).
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • HR, recruiting or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook); HRIS experience is a plus
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset - comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
