The following position is to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D)

The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.

The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions, including separation and integration activities. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.

What You Will Do

  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic financial transactions through financial modeling, presentation development, and due diligence.
  • Monitor and evaluate acquisition targets and peer activities, including tracking key events and analyzing financial statements.
  • Support integration and separation planning for businesses involved in acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Build analytical models to support various strategic analyses with limited supervision.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies.
  • Conduct market, competitive, and financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing senior-level briefings by summarizing insights from detailed analyses.
  • Manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with RTX Corporate Strategy and Development Team
  • Must be a U.S. Person.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sectors.
  • Several years of transactional experience (e.g., investment banking, corporate development, consulting, venture capital).
  • Familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg).

Hybrid : Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
