About The Role

Purpose of role

The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of critical power generation equipment through advanced vibration monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies.

Key Activities

  • Perform vibration data collection and analysis on critical rotating equipment.
  • Conduct infrared thermography inspections on electrical systems (panels, motors, transformers)
  • Diagnose faults such as imbalance, misalignment, bearing failure, looseness, and electrical issues
  • Monitor equipment condition in harsh environments (high temperature, dust, continuous operation)
  • Provide detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations
  • Support maintenance and operation teams in improving equipment reliability
  • Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and reliability improvement initiatives
  • Working in safe manners, able to identify hazards, managing and reporting to prevent accidents 
  • Leading/participating in a team on Toolbox/Weekly/Monthly safety meeting

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

Certifications (Mandatory)

-ISO 18436-2 Vibration Analyst Category II

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years in condition monitoring / predictive maintenance
  • -Experience in power plant,  smelter, mining, or heavy industry is highly preferred
  •  
  • Technical Skills & other requirements
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment:
  •   - SAG Mill / Ball Mill
  •   - Crushers & Conveyors
  •   - Gas/Steam Turbine, Generator, Pumps, Fans, and Compressors
  • Experience with vibration analysis tools (CSI, AMS 2140) and balancing
  • Familiar with thermography equipment (FLIR / Fluke)

-Understanding of motor diagnostics (MCSA is a plus)

-Willing to work on-site in remote gold mining locations

-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

-Good communication and reporting abilities

-Able to work independently and as part of a team
