About The Role

SearchPlus HR is a distinguished recruitment agency specializing in healthcare placements. We are currently seeking a Western-qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading private healthcare provider.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert gastrointestinal care in a private healthcare setting. You will apply your specialized skills and knowledge to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide array of gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients presenting with gastrointestinal disorders through comprehensive clinical assessments.
  • Perform advanced endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and other relevant interventions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in line with best practices and patient preferences.
  • Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases with a focus on patient outcomes and quality of care.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
  • Provide consultation services within the private healthcare sector, ensuring confidential and respectful patient interactions.
  • Stay abreast of current advances and research in gastroenterology and incorporate into clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Medical degree and full Western qualification in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid license to practice medicine and gastroenterology in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience working in the private healthcare sector.
  • Expertise in performing diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures.
  • Strong understanding of a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
  • Ability to deliver patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and private healthcare operational standards is preferable.
