About The Role
Employment Type: Part-time or full-time positions available
As an AOD Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing person-centred, high-quality, and safe care to individuals in detention with alcohol and other drug-related needs. You will conduct comprehensive AOD assessments, develop and implement care plans, deliver brief interventions, support withdrawal management, and monitor progress.
This is a great opportunity to work across a range of AOD services, including harm reduction, health promotion, medication administration, and psychoeducation. You'll be delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a trauma-informed environment that respects the rights, culture, and dignity of every individual.
Let’s talk about you!
- You will be an AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration) with either a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in AOD (non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health.
- OR
- You will be an AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration) with either a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a AOD Registered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification.
