The Opportunity

You've spent year mastering the complexities of industrial environments, you know the critical importance of uptime, the risks and the challenges faced in your industry. As a Field Technician for Industrial Robotics, you leverage your practical experience in plants, mills, or substations to bring advanced mobile robots into operation around the world. You will be the hands-on expert responsible installing and configuring our ANYmal robots, and ensuring site operators feel empowered to work with their new robotic co-worker. You will work closely with our Field Engineers and Customer Success Managers, focusing on robot usage and uptime, and setup quality.

You will be based in our new office in Barcelona. Most of your work will happen on customer sites worldwide, and regular travel to our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, is expected for training and close exchange with the Customer Success team.

The Market & Our Technology

ANYbotics transforms industrial environments in the energy, process and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. The software enabling ANYmal to perform autonomous inspection missions is almost exclusively developed in-house. Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance.

Your Contributions

  • Lead Deployment Projects: Lead complex, multi-site customer projects from onboarding through to operational autonomy. Ensure smooth deployments, manage timelines and value delivery.
  • Stakeholder & Change Management: Act as the primary point of contact for customer leadership and operations teams. Drive user adoption by navigating organizational dynamics, identifying resistance, and championing the value of robotics within their operational culture.
  • Field Operations Leadership: Coordinate the operational work of field technicians and internal specialists. Set priorities, allocate resources, and resolve on-site hurdles to maintain project momentum and quality.
  • Trusted Advisory: Consult with global industrial clients to integrate robotics into their broader business workflows. Act as the bridge between their operational challenges and our technical teams, ensuring our roadmap aligns with their needs.
  • Value Realization & Training: Lead training and enablement sessions for diverse audiences, from on-the-ground operators to plant management, tailoring your approach to maximize user confidence and system utilization.
  • Strategic Feedback Loop: Translate field insights and recurring operational themes into actionable requirements for our Product and R&D teams, ensuring the voice of the customer drives our innovation.

Your Profile

  • Education: Degree in engineering, robotics or a related field
  • Experience: Proven track record in customer-facing role, ideally within robotics, industrial automation, or complex technical systems.
  • Communication: Excellent communicator, comfortable presenting to both executive leadership and operational teams. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused outcomes.
  • Change Management: Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, navigate organizational dynamics, and drive user adoption in industrial environments.
  • Operational Leadership: Strong capability to coordinate teams, manage on-site priorities, and maintain project continuity in high-pressure, international settings.
  • Travel: Enthusiastic about frequent international travel (up to 60%) and comfortable working directly in customer environments.
  • Mindset: Collaborative, empathetic, and relentlessly focused on the customer's path to success

Bonus Points

  • Experience with deploying robots or other automation systems
  • Experience with Linux and command-line usage
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure
  • Proficiency in German or other languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.)
