About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Moulding Coordinator to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of our moulding section.

In this role, you will act as the key link between the Production, Tooling, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams, ensuring optimal machine performance, efficient production changeovers, consistent high product quality, and minimal downtime.

You will oversee daily shop-floor activities, provide support and guidance to operators and setters, monitor process stability, and drive operational excellence. A strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement is essential, as you will ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, Quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily moulding operations to meet production schedules, including timely mould changes, setups, and machine start-ups.
  • Monitor production performance, including cycle times, scrap rates, and machine utilization, and address deviations promptly.
  • Support stable moulding processes by assisting operators and technicians with parameter settings, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP standards, maintaining a clean, controlled, and contamination-free production environment.
  • Oversee quality checks and documentation, ensuring operators follow sampling, inspection, and recording requirements.
  • Collaborate with QC on first-off approvals, quality issues, and root-cause investigations with corrective actions.
  • Promote and enforce 5S and safety standards, ensuring housekeeping, organization, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate tooling and maintenance activities by liaising with Toolroom and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Management of the material mixing and distribution team and ensuring coordination for continues supply to machines to avoid downtime
  • Very strong focus on quality of parts produced and stability
  • Provide team support and leadership, including training new staff, managing shift needs, and ensuring effective communication.
  • Manage production documentation and KPIs, ensuring accurate logs, reports, and tracking of key performance metrics like OEE and scrap.
  • Align and adhere to company policies in place.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and continuous learning as necessary.
  • Any other duties assigned by management from time to time such as broader production coordination.

Requirements

  • MQF Level 6 or higher in Engineering, Technical or equivalent
  • Five years’ experience in injection moulding and/or production coordination
  • Knowledge of mould setup, process control and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical understanding of injection molding processes and thermoplastic materials.
  • Experience working in a GMP-controlled manufacturing environment, with a commitment for workplace organization and 5S Discipline
  • Good computer literacy skills, including advance knowledge of MS Excel, production systems an reporting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
