Consultant Urologist - Government Hospital / American Board Certified

About The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Urologist (UK CCT Holder / American Board Certified / Western Qualified) to join our Government Hospital. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive urological care, diagnose and treat disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, perform advanced urological procedures, and contribute to high standards of patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of urological conditions affecting the kidneys, bladder, ureters, prostate, and male reproductive system.
  • Perform advanced urological surgical procedures including minimally invasive, endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgeries where applicable.
  • Manage complex cases including urinary tract disorders, kidney stones, prostate conditions, urological cancers, and reconstructive urology cases.
  • Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, and review diagnostic investigations to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide pre-operative evaluation, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up care.
  • Manage emergency urological conditions and provide timely clinical interventions.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and contribute to medical education and training activities.

Requirements

  • Completion of recognized residency training in Urology.

American Board Certification

  • Minimum 5–10 years of post-qualification experience as a Consultant Urologist in a tertiary care hospital or government healthcare facility.
  • Experience in advanced urological procedures and management of complex urology cases.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary patient management is preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.
