Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop NPD projects in EMEA in accordance with our development process on all technical aspects for design and development.
- Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
- Ability to lead tradeoff discussions and conversations around risk management with cross-functional teams.
- Drive design of project to meet market driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
- Analyze, evaluate and select from design execution alternatives to best meet specification objectives and implement designs into mass production.
- Accountable for technical elements of project execution including integration of complicated components and assemblies, material selection, packaging and safety, regulatory and standards compliance.
- Conduct design and safety reviews as needed to gain necessary approvals for product development phase progressions.
- Schedules, develops agendas, facilitates and documents project meetings. Tracks project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.
- Regularly makes presentations of project status.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or further technical education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in project management and product development
- Solid understanding of technical processes in Engineering like Product Development & technical documentation
- Ideally experienced in safety footwear industry
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken , another European language is of advantage
- Advanced knowledge in MS office application
- Extensive Knowledge in CAD system
- Willingness to travel as required for business (30% ca.)
