  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week
  • Job Week Assignment: 36 weeks per year
  • Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour
  • Work Cycle: Monday two weeks prior to the start of fall semester through graduation

Job Summary

The Fraternity & Sorority Life Assistant, Student Employee supports programs and initiatives that promote engagement, connection, and a positive experience within Lindenwood University’s fraternity and sorority community. The position assists with signature events, communications, student feedback, and chapter outreach while helping maintain accurate information in approved departmental systems. Work is performed under the direction of professional staff and includes support for the Office of Student Involvement as a whole.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Serves as a welcoming representative of the Office of Student Involvement and supports an inclusive, respectful, and values-centered fraternity and sorority community.
  • Assists professional staff with the preparation and delivery of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) programs and events, including Greek Week, Winter Ball, and other community-wide activities. Support may include committee coordination, scheduling, materials, communications, setup, check-in, cleanup, and documentation.
  • Creates and updates approved FSL content for social media, Mane Connection, event listings, forms, and other communication platforms under the direction of professional staff.
  • Maintains accurate program, participation, purchase, and engagement records using approved university systems and procedures.
  • Communicates and collaborates professionally with chapter leaders, students, campus partners, student employees, and professional staff and refers matters requiring additional authority or expertise to the appropriate staff member.
  • Collects and organizes student feedback and contributes student perspectives and ideas to support departmental assessment, planning, and program improvement.
  • Shares approved information regarding FSL policies and procedures and promptly refers potential compliance concerns to professional staff.
  • Supports departmental programs, campus traditions, and initiatives outside the employee’s primary assignment as needed.
  • Participates in required training and staff meetings, maintains confidentiality, and performs work in accordance with university policies, established procedures, and supervisor direction.
  • Job may require other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
  • Active member (in good standing) of a social fraternity or sorority recognized by Lindenwood University
  • Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
  • Good academic and financial standing with the University
  • Past leadership positions in a fraternity or sorority preferred
