The role
The Partnerships Lead is the operator who turns partnerships from intent into leverage. They both start new partnerships and operationalize existing ones.
The role sits at the intersection of three teams
- Partnerships: sourcing, structuring, and signing new top-tier relationships, anchored in dining, events, luxury goods, travel, and wellness.
- Product: translating partnership terms into platform-ready inventory, ensuring product reflects what's actually been negotiated.
- Curator team: assisting the Chief Partnerships Officer to operationalize each partnership so the team knows what's available and how to use it.
The role-holder is the connective tissue: when a partnership is signed, they make sure everything else happens: contracts, terms, internal briefings, data streams, so members feel the difference.
Expected allocation: roughly two-thirds partnership operationalization and activation, and one-third sourcing and starting net-new partnerships.
Core Responsibilities
- Partnership Operationalization: Bringing Deals to Life: Once a partnership is in motion, the role-holder owns the full path from handshake to activated, member-usable leverage.
- Connector Between Product and Partnerships: The role-holder is the bridge that ensures partnership terms become product reality.
- Bringing Partnerships to Life with the Curator Team: Partnerships only matter if curators use them confidently and consistently.
- Sourcing and Starting New Partnerships: The role-holder also leads net-new partnership development, with an initial anchor in the US across dining, events and experiences, and wellness .
Requirements
- Operational rigor: You hold relentlessly high standards, move fast, and are dependable, with an instinct for clean documentation, contract follow-through, and consistently closing loops.
- Connector instinct: You naturally translate between teams: taking what Partnerships negotiates, what Product can build, and what Curators need to use, and making them line up.
- Communication: You are a crisp, confident, and persuasive communicator who earns trust quickly with partners, product owners, and curators alike.
- Impossible is an attitude: You are high-agency and persistent: you reliably find a way to get a foot in the door, get a contract signed, or get a stalled handoff moving.
- Systematization and leverage: You think in compounding systems and turn each partnership into repeatable motion: playbooks, documentation, training, and activation patterns that scale across the team.
- Taste and magic: You have strong taste and judgment, especially in hospitality, and naturally evaluate which partnerships will produce moments that feel elevated and emotionally resonant for members.
