Production Management Associate, Business Operations

Position Summary

The Associate Manager, Business Operations will play a key role in supporting the financial, operational, and administrative functions of NBA TV and the Highlight Factory. This position will take a lead role in budget management, vendor coordination, and production operations, ensuring efficient day-to-day execution and alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating at the intersection of finance, production, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Financial Management & Business Planning

• Lead the management and tracking of NBA TV and Highlight Factory budgets, including forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis
• Develop cost-saving models and initiatives that align with evolving business priorities, identifying cost efficiencies and supporting budget optimization efforts
• Participate in the annual and long-range business planning process, ensuring NBA TV budget proposals align with contractual obligations and financial targets
• Partner with finance to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of all expenses
• Oversee end-to-end invoice processing, ensuring timely submission, tracking, and reconciliation

Contract & Vendor Management

• Support vendor onboarding, rate negotiations as well as ongoing relationship and deliverables management
• Manage contract workflows, including review coordination, approvals, documentation, and organization of records

Production Management & Day-to-Day Operations

• Support and, when needed, lead production-related projects from planning through execution
• Track timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion
• Oversee time sheet approvals and ensure accurate tracking of staff and freelance hours
• Support staffing logistics and resource allocation for production teams
• Find opportunities to optimize workflows and operational processes within NBATV operations and the Highlight Factory
• Help manage daily operations of the Highlight Factory, ensuring smooth execution of content production and troubleshooting any operational issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in business operations, production operations, or a related environment
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and invoices
• Experience working with contracts and vendor management preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Excel and financial tracking tools; familiarity with production workflows is a plus

Salary Range

$80,000
