Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the finance team in daily finance operations.
- Oversee the monthly closing of management accounts for the group of companies and review the monthly management accounts including the analysis of variances in revenue/expenses and balance sheet items
- Review the monthly consolidated accounts of the Group.
- Manage the cash flow to meet the needs of all operating entities within the group of companies.
- Responsible for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
- Responsible for income tax, withholding tax and GST reporting and compliance matters for the group of companies.
- Responsible for the preparation/review of quarterly board papers and results announcements for release on the SGX-ST.
- Responsible for the review of annual statutory financial statements prepared in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Review and submission of quarterly and annual returns of the REIT Manager to the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
- Establish (where required) and maintain appropriate internal control policies and procedures, and good corporate governance practices.
- Assist in the financial and tax due diligence and planning for potential new investments.
- Assist in the preparation/review of SGX announcements and unitholders’ circular including the preparation of proforma financial effects for proposed equity fund raising exercises and proposed acquisitions and mergers.
- Liaise with external parties such as Trustees, External and Internal Auditors, Legal and Tax Advisers and Unit Registrar for various matters.
- Co-ordinate with other departments such as Real Estate, Capital Markets, Investor Relations and Compliance for operational matters.
- Drive the adoption of approved AI and automation tools across finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and decision-making.
- Report to the CFO on all finance-related matters and perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the CFO and/or CEO from time to time.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- REIT experience and/or experience in the management of overseas real estate investment is preferred
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with AI, automation and analytics tools and their application in finance, accounting and FP&A functions
