Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to drive the design, evolution, and reliability of our platform ecosystem. In this role, you will take ownership of technical decisions , guide architectural direction, and coordinate technical work across engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

You will act as a bridge between engineering, product, and operations, balancing hands-on engineering with technical leadership and collaboration .

Your role

Technical Leadership & Decision-Making

• Own and drive architecture and design decisions for platform services and infrastructure.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns .
• Evaluate and select technologies, tools, and frameworks aligned with business goals.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across the team.
• Lead design reviews and ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, and reliability requirements.

Team Coordination & Delivery

• Coordinate technical tasks across multiple engineers and teams to ensure consistent progress and alignment .
• Break down high-level initiatives into actionable engineering work items .
• Act as a technical point of contact for cross-team initiatives and dependencies.
• Facilitate collaboration between development, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Support delivery planning and help remove technical blockers .

Platform Engineering & Operations

• Design and maintain robust platform infrastructure (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) .
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks .
• Ensure high availability, observability, and performance of platform services.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management adoption.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.

Reliability, Security & Compliance

• Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Champion SRE principles including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement after incidents.
• Improve system resilience and disaster recovery capabilities.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–10+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles .
• Proven experience in making and owning architectural decisions .
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with:
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, etc.)
• CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments .
