About The Role
Role Purpose
At NBCUniversal, the Corporate Events Department produces high-impact experiences for clients and C-suite executives across some of the most recognized brands in media and entertainment — from marquee tentpole events and corporate initiatives to brand activations and large-scale client programs.
The Corporate Events Manager is an experienced event lead who independently drives small to mid-sized programs from ideation through execution while also contributing to larger-scale events as part of a broader team. This individual brings 5–7 years of experience in events, hospitality, entertainment, or related industries, along with a proven ability to lead programs, navigate complex logistics, and collaborate effectively across stakeholders. The Manager serves as a key partner to internal teams, clients, vendors, and executives, balancing strategic thinking with flawless execution. This position may provide guidance and oversight to Coordinators, Associates, Pages, or project-based team members depending on event staffing and department structure.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to a Vice President within the Corporate Events Department. Job Duties
Event Leadership & Execution
- Lead small to mid-sized programs from initial planning through on-site execution and post-event reconciliation
- Contribute to larger-scale and high-profile events in partnership with senior team members, owning specific workstreams, logistics, vendors, or operational components within the broader program
- Oversee all aspects of assigned events, including venue sourcing, vendor coordination, run-of-show development, premium sourcing, guest experience, and on-site logistics
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and clients throughout the planning and execution process, facilitating meetings and ensuring clear communication and follow-through
- Interface directly with clients and C-suite executives with professionalism and discretion
- Develop and track event budgets, process invoices, and support post-event reconciliation
- Negotiate contracts, track deliverables, and maintain detailed production timelines
- Coordinate event registration, attendee communications, and guest management to ensure a seamless experience
- Produce or oversee the creation of digital and printed event materials in collaboration with vendors and internal/external partners
- Travel domestically and internationally to execute and support events
- Provide on-site support across the department’s broader event portfolio as needed
Team Collaboration & Department Support
- Provide guidance and day-to-day direction to Associates, Coordinators, Pages, and project-based team members assigned to events
- Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment while helping junior team members strengthen their event management skills
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on complex programs and department initiatives
- Contribute to operational improvements, internal processes, and shared departmental resources
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends across hospitality, food and beverage, entertainment, sports, venues, experiential marketing, and premium gifting
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
- 5+ years of experience in events, hospitality, entertainment, experiential marketing, production, client services, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience independently leading and executing events from concept through completion
- Experience working with executive-level stakeholders, clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and event registration platforms
- Knowledge of current trends within hospitality, entertainment, food and beverage, sports, experiential marketing, and premium gifting
Additional Requirements
- Willing to work in New York, NY
- Able to travel up to 40%
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule
Hybrid:  This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time. 
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits , including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
