We are currently seeking a Consultant , based in our Toronto office. The successful candidate will focus on providing our clients with an in-depth range of valuation and advisory services. POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides objective, impartial and unbiased opinions about the value of real property for a variety of clients and intended users. Performs a range of functions, including comprehensive and detailed market research, data analysis , report writing and creating complex financial models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the production of valuation reviews on real property using various methodologies including cost, income, and direct sales comparison approach.
- Conduct research and analysis to support the preparation of valuation reviews.
- Research and assess property information.
- Construct financial models including discounted cash flow utilizing ARGUS software.
- Research benchmark rates of return, including cap rates and discount rates.
- Inspect property and interview market participants.
- Prepare highest and best use land and property studies.
- Confirm the characteristics of different property types and ensure the correct property classification.
- Work as part of a team on client engagements on a portfolio of properties.
- Support the efforts of others in the practice to ensure exceptional service to our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferable in finance, business, urban studies or economics.
- Good communications skill both written and oral.
- Excellent familiarity with Microsoft 365 (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong Argus skills.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- A valid driver’s license.

This posting is for a backfill position.
The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: 63k Salary
