About The Role

Support the people and processes of VRL through excellent administration, staff care, and HR practices that strengthen culture and empower ministry teams to thrive.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES

The primary responsibilities of the HR/Admin Assistant include, but are not limited to the following

  • Provide administrative support for HR processes including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, compliance processes, and communications.
  • Provide administrative support to the Administration Team in our efforts to contribute to the effectiveness of ministry initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, relational staff culture through intentional care, support, and appreciation activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for general office operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Administration Volunteers including coordinating schedules, training, and general questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years’ experience in an administrative support role required.
  • Experience in Human Resources preferred but not required.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • High regard for confidentiality and discernment in handling sensitive information.

  • Attend VRL church services on a regular basis
  • Have attended a DNA class/The Journey and signed a membership agreement
  • Be in full alignment with VRL's mission, vision, beliefs, and culture.
  • Be in a Life Group on a regular basis
  • Committed to regular giving of income to God through VRL
  • Abiding in Christ and continuing to grow toward Christlikeness and spiritual maturity.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as there are seasons of irregular work hours based on various church activities.
  • Attend monthly All Staff meeting and participate in department meetings or other meetings when requested to do so.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of Valley Real Life.
