The Department of Psychiatry is proud to re-open a new state-of-the-art 24-bed inpatient psychiatry unit featuring four higher-acuity Med-Psych beds. The role offers meaningful exposure to a variety of inpatient medicine services, including PM&R, Med-Psych, and Internal Medicine 7S. Assignments may change based on the needs of the service, patient care priorities, and operational demands; therefore, flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative team-based approach are essential. PAs will round with their assigned teams, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and manage all aspects of inpatient care, including daily documentation, order placement, consult coordination, discharge preparation, and response to acute psychiatric or medical needs on the assigned unit.
