About The Role

At Growth Lending , we empower innovative, high-growth companies to accelerate their potential through flexible credit solutions ranging from £100,000 to £30m. Having lent over £1bn to more than 500 businesses globally, our reach spans London, Manchester, Manila, Atlanta, and our vibrant hub in Cape Town.

We operate with deep integrity. Our deal execution team isn't here to "rubber stamp" applications—they interrogate every deal as if investing their own money. We are looking for someone who thrives on finding the "diamond in the rough" and is ready to build unmatched expertise in SME funding.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside our South African deal execution experts and UK-based deal originators, you will support Debt Structuring Managers in taking deals from initial opportunity through to credit approval.

  • Deep-Dive Analysis: Scrutinize potential portfolio companies, conduct rigorous financial analysis, and communicate your findings with clarity and consistency.
  • Craft Impactful Papers: Build thorough, balanced, and compelling investment and credit papers.
  • Multi-Task Across Sectors: Manage multiple dynamic deals simultaneously across a diverse range of industries in the UK and US markets.
  • Drive Strategic Decisions: Act as a critical filter for our sales team, evaluating risks and opportunities to ensure sound investment choices.

We hire driven individuals who want to be the best at what they do, backing them up with exceptional coaching and professional growth.

  • Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in investment analysis or corporate finance, including experience working with SMEs on cash-flow lending.
  • Technical Mastery: Exceptional financial analysis skills, including advanced Excel, financial modelling, cash-flow forecasting, and the use of credit paper preparation tools, with a track record of producing high-quality investment papers.
  • Mindset & Curiosity: A genuine passion for early-stage SMEs and high-growth businesses, with a knack for spotting hidden potential.
  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in South Africa.
  • Location: Must currently reside in Cape Town, South Africa.
  • Market Exposure: UK market experience is a plus.
  • Communication: Experience presenting analysis or credit papers to credit committees, investment teams, or deal originators would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional support and professional growth
