Job Summary

As a Senior QA Engineer, you exhibit substantial practical knowledge in development and testing methodologies. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a vital component of our product and customer delivery engineering teams. You will produce test artifacts in accordance with our QA practices and standards.

You will be entrusted with complex test requirements and act as a testing SME for some product features. Your responsibilities will also include technical tasks such as test environment setup/update/management, database table/records manipulation, and test automation. This role is ideal for a self-starter that can operate with minimal supervision. Leveraging your significant testing experience, you'll provide support in mentoring junior team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritise testing of all new features and changes to the existing codebase before release.
  • System testing on an ongoing basis to check for errors or bugs not picked up in previous cycles.
  • Report bugs to the engineering team using JIRA and monitor through to resolution to
  • Take the initiative to propose improvements to the system and anything that would benefit the user experience.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team and user experience teams.
  • Be present at the daily stand-ups and other agile ceremonies.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve our testing processes and provide suggestions to the wider team to prevent bugs from occurring in the first place.
  • Helping to implement greater test coverage with clear repeatable test cases.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of financial rebate systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and GDPR.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can interact with a wide range of stakeholders to attain results.
  • You are comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • MUST have a passion for achieving excellence in product quality and reliability.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Conscientious, self-motivated, and goal-orientated.
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness and an enthusiastic attitude to work within existing processes/methodologies.

Required Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of software testing experience working with SaaS products.
  • Understanding of tech stacks like C\#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, SQL
  • Coding: At least two languages, one compiled/object orientated programming and one scripting (X++, ABAP).
  • SAP BTP experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • API testing experience using tools like Postman.
  • Experience working within Scrum methodology.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright/Cypress.
