Consultant / Specialist - Surgical Oncologist in a Leading Healthcare Facility

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Consultant / Specialist – Surgical Oncologist to join its multidisciplinary cancer care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, evaluating, and surgically treating patients with benign and malignant tumors while delivering comprehensive, patient-centered oncology care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of oncological conditions.
• Perform elective and complex oncologic surgical procedures for solid tumors.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care and long-term follow-up.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with quality and patient safety standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MS / MD / MCh / DNB / FRCS or equivalent postgraduate qualification in General Surgery with specialization or fellowship in Surgical Oncology.
• Relevant clinical experience in Surgical Oncology.
• Expertise in the surgical management of gastrointestinal, breast, hepatobiliary, endocrine, thoracic, gynecologic, or other solid organ malignancies.
• Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
