Consultant / Specialist - Ophthalmologist in Leading Healthcare Facility

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Consultant / Specialist – Ophthalmologist to join its ophthalmology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of eye conditions while providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose various ophthalmic conditions.
• Manage and treat eye diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, corneal conditions, and other ocular disorders.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgical interventions as per expertise.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate patient counseling.
• Interpret diagnostic tests, including OCT, visual field tests, and ocular imaging.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for ophthalmic procedures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical standards and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MS / MD / DNB / DO / FRCS or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Relevant clinical experience in Ophthalmology.
• Expertise in diagnosing and managing ophthalmic conditions.
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
