About The Role

Position Title: Molding Operator

Department: Molding

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hour shift

General Summary: As an Injection Mold Press Operator at DECKED, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of injection molding machines and the successful assembly of components to meet our high-quality standards. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to teamwork will be essential in ensuring that our products maintain their superior quality and durability.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform assembly tasks, combining molded components and other parts to create finished products.
  • Utilize hand tools, fixtures, and equipment to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct visual and functional checks of assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications during the assembly process.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to verify that they meet DECKED's specifications and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
  • Safety and Cleanliness:
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and meet customer demands.
  • Communicate effectively to report any issues or updates during the production process.
  • Assist and support colleagues in different areas as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in injection molding machine operation and assembly is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of injection molding processes and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and small power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production targets.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward process improvement.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
