About the Team
With almost 4 Lakh entrepreneurs aboard the Meesho app, we are all set to democratise internet commerce for everyone in India. Our primary responsibility, as the Business org, is to actively drive this mission from the frontlines.
As an Associate Manager, you will play a huge role in driving growth across all categories. Our team holds end-to-end responsibility to launch and scale-up categories, by ensuring the right selection, competitive pricing, and conversion. Each category team has Senior Business Managers/Business Managers and a group of Assistant Business Managers, Key Account Managers, and Business Development Executives.
Within the business team, you'll closely work with the category marketing team and other category teams. Beyond this, you will also work closely with the Product, Supplier Growth, User Growth, and Fulfillment & Experience teams.

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Assistant Manager to lead our Inbound Channel and CRM team. In this role, you will manage our inbound seller support operations, ensuring a high standard of service and fostering a collaborative, motivated environment. You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of support agents, streamlining processes, and enhancing seller experience and onboardig.
What you will do

Distributor Lead Generation & Market Mapping
- -
- Identify and map high-potential distributors across FMCG, Personal Care, Home, Fashion and other relevant categories.

- Build a strong pipeline through market visits, referrals, industry networks, trade associations and cold outreach.
- -
- Continuously expand Meesho's distributor network across priority geographies.
End-to-End Distributor Acquisition
- -
- Own the complete distributor onboarding lifecycle—from first contact to commercial closure.
- -
- Conduct in-person meetings with distributor owners and decision-makers to pitch the Meesho opportunity.
- -
- Evaluate distributor capabilities including infrastructure, financial strength, serviceability and operational readiness.
Commercial Negotiation & Closure
- -
- Negotiate commercials and partnership terms with distributors.
- -
- Drive stakeholder alignment across brands, distributors and internal teams to ensure timely closures.
- -
- Resolve onboarding bottlenecks and accelerate go-live timelines.
Network Expansion & Activation
- -
- Partner with brands to identify priority expansion markets.
- -
- Ensure newly onboarded distributors are operationally ready and successfully activated.
- -
- Track onboarding funnel, conversion metrics and activation milestones.
Stakeholder Management
- -
- Build strong relationships with distributor owners, promoters and senior leadership.
- -
- Collaborate with Brand, Operations, Supply Chain and Analytics teams to execute expansion plans.

- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding journey.
Market Intelligence

- Develop a strong understanding of regional distributor ecosystems.
- -
- Track competitor distributor strategies, market dynamics and expansion opportunities.
- -
- Bring insights that improve Meesho's distributor acquisition strategy.
- What you will need
- -
Experience
- -
- 2–6 years of experience in Business Development, Distributor Development, Channel Sales, Supply Expansion or Merchant Acquisition.
- -
- Experience working with FMCG, consumer brands, retail distribution, B2B commerce or marketplaces is preferred.
Preferred Backgrounds
- -
- Distributor/channel development roles in FMCG companies.
- -
- Professionals with experience onboarding distributors, dealers, wholesalers or large retail partners.
Skills & Attributes

- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- -
- Comfortable engaging with business owners, promoters and senior decision-makers.
- -
- High ownership with the ability to independently drive closures.

- Excellent communication in English, Hindi and regional languages (preferred based on territory).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- -
- Working knowledge of Excel and CRM tools.
Travel Requirement

Extensive travel is mandatory.

Candidates should be comfortable spending approximately 75% of their time (3 out of every 4 weeks) travelling across cities and states to identify, evaluate and onboard distributors.

Flexibility to relocate temporarily based on business priorities is an added advantage.
