About The Role

The Smart Nation Group – Digital Government (SNDG), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), is at the forefront of the Singapore Government's digital transformation. We shape and implement strategies and policies to achieve our vision of a Digital Government that is Digital to the core and serves with heart. This includes building long-term digital capabilities for the public sector, driving innovation across Government agencies, and ensuring digital services are user-centric, secure and resilient. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Formulate and implement policies to enhance digital product development across government agencies
  • Develop frameworks for responsible technology adoption and risk management in digitalisation
  • Analyse emerging technological trends and their policy implications
  1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Digital Government Blueprint
  • Support digitalisation planning and implementation for ministries across the Government
  • Design and participate in SNDG's work planning and strategic planning cycles
  1. Cross-Agency Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other Centre-of-Government agencies to support Public Sector Transformation
  • Identify cross-agency synergies and central enablers for digitalisation
  • Engage with a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders
  1. Performance Tracking and Analytics:
  • Develop processes to support digitalisation planning and implementation across ministries
  • Contribute to growing the analytics function within SNDG to track digitalisation outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital transformation initiatives

We are seeking a dynamic, adaptable professional with

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in technology policy, public policy, strategic planning, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to present recommendations to senior management effectively
  • Understanding of tech trends and their societal and regulatory implications
  • Experience in product management or developing digital products is advantageous
