We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Verification Coordinator to help ensure customers understand their coverage and benefits for speech-generating devices and related accessories.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance coverage, benefits, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and benefit limits for customers
  • Communicate with insurance providers through online portals, phone calls, and third-party systems to obtain accurate benefit information
  • Calculate and communicate estimated out-of-pocket costs to customers
  • Document and maintain accurate benefit information within company systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support timely and accurate processing of benefit verifications
  • Resolve benefit verification discrepancies while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in insurance verification, medical billing, healthcare administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry applications
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology, benefit verification processes, and medical coding preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
