About The Role

Role Summary

The Governance Senior Specialist will

  • Develop a working understanding of all Qiddiya governance structures, frameworks and delegations of authority.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing review of the Qiddiya Development Committee Governance Framework.
  • Coordinate and facilitate operations of N-1 level committees, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and maintaining governance records.
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned committee-related inquiries and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Track and follow up on action items, approvals, compliance requirements, and related project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other governance and compliance-related functions to ensure alignment with CDU objectives and Qiddiya policies.
  • Assist in developing mechanisms to educate staff on governance frameworks, templates, and procedures.
  • Participate in the evaluation of committee effectiveness and support onboarding of independent committee members.
  • Take a proactive outlook on governance implementation, identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in policy creation and governance initiatives as directed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secretariat Support (N-1 Committee Level)
  • Support the implementation and ongoing review of the Qiddiya Development Committee Governance Framework.
  • Assist Development Teams in adhering to the governance framework and report any non-compliance to the Manager, CDU Governance.
  • Maintain and update committee documents as needed in line with evolving policies and processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned committee-related inquiries.
  • Help build and maintain relationships with all Qiddiya internal stakeholders to foster a strong governance culture within the organization.
  • Contribute to mechanisms for collecting and acting on stakeholder feedback related to governance structures, templates, and procedures.
  • Coordinate operations of N-1 level committees, including scheduling, preparing agendas, drafting meeting minutes, and maintaining governance records.
  • Track and follow up on action items, approvals, compliance requirements, and related project documentation.
  • Support cross-functional teams in governance-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with CDU objectives.
  • Provide input and administrative support for decision-making processes by ensuring documentation and compliance checks are complete.
  • Governance Efficiency
  • Assist in developing mechanisms to educate all new and existing staff on the Development Committee Governance Framework and all associated documents, templates and procedures.
  • Work with the CDU Centre of Excellence (CoE) to house all training documentation on a centralized, transparent and user-friendly platform.
  • Stay updated on governance trends, sharing insights and best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Support monitoring of adherence to internal governance policies and delegations of authority.
  • Assist in conducting internal reviews of Committee structures, reporting on compliance gaps, risks, and proposed mitigation plans for these.
  • Help prepare reports to CDU management, detailing governance metrics, risk assessments, and compliance findings.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps and opportunities to enhance governance workflows, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and analyses to track governance performance.
  • Support the onboarding of independent committee members, ensuring familiarity with Qiddiya’s governance standards and Saudi cultural expectations.
  • Participate in the evaluation of N-1 level committees and their members, assessing effectiveness and adherence to governance standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in arts, Law, Business Administration, Governance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a relevant sector.
  • Experience : 2-4 years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably with exposure to committee secretariat or governance efficiency roles.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Working knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in committee operations and documentation management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

o Familiarity with centralized documentation platforms and reporting dashboards.
